# [Your brand] Brandbook

Version 0.1.0 · [date] · one canonical source. Method adapted from the Arete AIOS Brandbook 1.11.0 (https://areteaios.com/brandbook); every identity value below is yours, none of Arete's assets are.

## Give this to your AI

Create [Your brand] material using this Brandbook: [stable link or attached file]. Choose the web, slides or video profile for the actual deliverable. Use only the approved logo assets, palette and type roles listed here. Keep any explicitly approved project variation clearly identified. Verify the final result at its real viewing size.

## 1 · Brand colours

Decide colours by surface, not by project. Give each hue a light-surface value and a dark-surface value, and check contrast (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text and controls).

```css
/* On light surfaces */
--brand:       #______;  /* primary: buttons, links */
--brand-deep:  #______;  /* hover, deep fills */
--accent:      #______;  /* one supporting colour with a narrow job */
/* On dark surfaces */
--brand-dark:  #______;
--accent-dark: #______;
/* Text and lines */
--ink:         #______;
--muted:       #______;
--line:        #______;
```

## 2 · Surfaces

```css
--dark:       #______;  --dark-text: #______;  --dark-body: #______;  --dark-line: rgba(…);
--page:       #______;  --card: #______;  --warm-sunken: #______;  --cool-band: #______;
```

Name the one surface value that makes the system recognisable, and say what it must never be replaced with.

## 3 · Status colours — functional, not brand

```css
--ok: #______;  --warn: #______;  --danger: #______;  --info: #______;
```

Only inside tools, logs and health indicators. Always with a text label.

## 4 · Typography

Three faces at most, each with exactly one job.

- **[Display face]** — H1 and H2 only. Weights ___. Check it renders every letter of your language (render it, do not trust the font file).
- **[Text face]** — everything else: H3, body, UI, buttons, numbers, eyebrows. Weights ___.
- **[Mono face]** — code, terminals, live data only, or remove this role.

| Element | Size at 1440px+ | Face |
|---|---|---|
| H1 / display | __px, letter-spacing __, line-height __ | ____ |
| H2 / section heading | __px | ____ |
| H3 / card heading | __px | ____ |
| Body | __px, line-height __ | ____ |
| Small / caption | __px | ____ |
| Eyebrow "01 / LABEL" | __px, uppercase, __em tracking | ____ |
| Button | __px | ____ |

Licence of each font: ____ (keep the licence text with the files you ship).

## 5 · Approved patterns

Describe three to five patterns that came out of real builds, with exact values (band, eyebrow, primary button, card, icon treatment). Each pattern says what it is, where it appears and what it never is.

## 6 · Shape and space

```css
--radius-card: __px;  --radius-input: __px;  --radius-pill: 999px;
```

Spacing base __px. Use only: __ · __ · __ · __ · __ · __ . Section padding __px desktop / __px mobile. Max content width __px; text-only pages __px.

## 7 · Tone of the visuals

Four to six sentences: how much whitespace, what the accent is for, what photography is allowed, when icons appear.

## 8 · Never

List every forbidden thing explicitly: colours, effects, extra typefaces, shadows, emoji, motion that starts on its own, decorative status colours.

## Websites and tools / Slides and presentations / Video and motion

Three profiles. Each: default surface, type roles, logo use, and the one verification step (real viewing size, offline deck, phone-size captions).

## Logo and approved assets

| Asset | File | Usage rule |
|---|---|---|
| Symbol | ______.svg | unchanged, proportions kept |
| Wordmark | ______ | complete lettering |
| Video intro / outro | ______ | chosen per format |

## Voice and motion

Named voices per language, motion version, resting periods, reduced-motion alternative.

## Rights and licences

Fonts: ____. Logo and name: ____. Footage and voices: ____. Templates and method: ____. Mark anything not yet decided.
